CSWD offers several programs and certifications in high-tech fields including Robotics, Mechatronics and Additive Manufacturing (3D printing).
Miami University's College of Engineering and Computing offers a variety of continuing education and upskill opportunities including custom options developed to meet the exact needs of companies within Evendale and the surrounding areas.
Planned SmartTech Center
As emerging industries and technologies rapidly evolve, employers need a well-trained, highly skilled workforce. To meet this need, CSWD and The Miami University College of Engineering and Computing, are working together to create an advanced manufacturing workforce skills center. Partnering with world class manufacturers, the SmartTech Center would be available for customized adult training programs, workshops, product research, testing and prototyping in fields such as additive technologies, cyber security, virtual/augmented reality, data analytics, robotics, and the industrial internet of things (Industry 4.0 and 5.0). The Center anticipates participation from equipment OEM’s providing showroom sales space, equipment demonstration and training opportunities.
